All future surgeries could be done by robots

Twenty years from now, virtually all surgeries will be performed using robots, Benjamin Stockton predicts.

Stockton, a urologist from Lakeland Regional Health System in St. Joseph, was in Kalamazoo recently with sales reps from Intuitive Surgical Inc. of California and a da Vinci machine, demonstrating the new technology to health-care professionals and men with prostate cancer.
