(NYSE: COV, BSX: COV), a leading global provider of healthcare products, announced today the completion of the first reported Single Incision Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication procedure, eliminating any visible scar on the patient’s abdomen. This procedure, for treatment of esophageal reflux disease, was performed by Dr. Alexander Rosemurgy at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Also at Tampa General Hospital, Dr. Michael Albrink recently completed two Single Incision Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy procedures.
